AMERICAN EXPRESS

The Original tagline, “Don’t Leave Home Without It.” is an imperative, cautionary line that positions the card as essential for any trip or purchase. It creates urgency and necessity, tapping into fear of being unprepared. By framing AmEx as something you simply can’t risk forgetting.

My version  shifts the tone from fear of forgetting (like ‘Don’t Leave Home Without It’) to promise stress-free, indulgent travel. It reassures users they can spend without guilt, making the card feel like an easy, reliable partner in every adventure.

SCHWEPPES

 

The original Ogilvy line—“Schweppervescence”—is a classic example of brand ownership through coined language. It merges “Schweppes” with “effervescence”  suggesting that Schweppes doesn’t just have bubbles—it defines them.

My alternative—takes a more playful, emotional approach. It uses a pun  while turning “Schwepped” into a brand verb, making the line more personal and engaging. My version is designed to be more   emotionally resonant, making the brand feel approachable and charming.

Apple

This Apple campaign is about embracing  the teeny weeny imperfections and flipping it into something positive.

No jack. No pause. Dongle sold separately.
Still — we complain, we troll, we buy anyway. 🍏
Be Apple — half full, kind of a guy.✨ Think Different.
